Some Background Information
I am a qualified coach, psychometric occupational tester, mentor and action learning facilitator. Please scroll down for a list of my qualifications.

In combining the most prominent areas of my expertise: managerial, teaching, facilitation and coaching (listed below) Cognivity was created in 2009.

  • Worked for a large multinational company, Otto Versand in Hong Kong, employed as both a Technical Consultant and Quality Control Manager, in manufacturing, shipping and logistics within the fashion industry. I was responsible for a team of 50 technical staff and inspectors shipping over 15 million pieces of clothing merchandise to 38 countries worldwide.
  • Delivered training programs to suppliers, manufacturers and board members worldwide.

  • Retrained to teach and since 2002 I have been delivering a range of training programs and workshops in Schools, Further and Higher Educational establishments covering; Textile Technology, Art & Design, Manufacturing and Business. These areas combine my industrial and managerial experience with a full working knowledge of the education system.
  • Since 2003 I have been teaching and working with two national mental health charities Mind and Rethink and alcohol and drug recovery centres Broadreach and Longreach. I value this area of my work and recognise my ongoing experiences and hope I, in turn play a role to enable those I work with to build self-esteem, courage and independence. As well as regular weekly sessions I also run an Open Art Studio in the South West (Plymouth) for those experiencing mental ill health.
  • Since qualifying as a Coach in 2009 I have combined coaching, mentoring and facilitation for use in the workplace with organisations and on a one to one basis. I love my work and consider it a rich and varied tapestry of experiences and adventures intertwined with the wonderful people I meet and interact with.
